Nominations Season!

Big thanks to Sugar House Review, who nominated my "HEROIC CROWN: QUEER SONNETS" for a Pushcart Prize, and to Guernica, who put my poem "Number Love, My Taxes" forth for Best of the Net. Working with the editors and staff at these publications has been a joy. I can't wait to see what fabulous poetry they'll bring to us in the new year!

As an Assistant Editor at the Denver Quarterly, I had the pleasure of weighing in on our own Pushcart nomination process. Of course, it wasn't easy—we had such strong work from which to choose! After narrowing it down, DQ was proud to announce the following nominees:

“That's The American Dream, Is To Have a Green Lawn” by Jay Deshpande
“Back in the Province Lands” by Regan Good
“an off-the-shoulder kind of Friday” by Karen Garthe
“There Is a Darkness to the Landscape and Still We Must Teach” by Natalie Eilbert
“Junk Drawer” by Renee Branum
"To Say" by Ye Chun

Wishing best of luck to the nominees and a celebratory turning of the year to all!
